Word of the Day:
Epiphany-n. A profound vision or thought. Enlightenment
Sentence: While sitting at work I developed an epiphany about the ways of life.
Lyrical Epiphany:
This poem was really a dream that I had. It made no sense but it was easy to make into a poem so I did.
The Dream
As silence passes across the room
I feel a ache a pain of doom
I know not what its presence brings
But I feel from it nothing but bad things
Impatient I wait in shock in full shiver
Waiting to see what the silence delivers
The birth of a new and shiny embrace
Waiting for the unexplained to take place
Tick
Tock
Tick
Tock
The silence is broken by an unstable clock
Then a scream and a knock
My heart races the fear is upon me
Or should I say us
Because now I realize I am not alone
The light is not on and my guests are now shown
The boogie man, the toothefairy and the man from under my bed
They all sit and stare as the blood drips from my head
Onto my hands
And down to my feet
I blink
And I'm alone again
No blood to pain to shanagins
Just me and my thoughts
So I'm back in silence
There is no more violence
Just me with no clock
No tick
No tock
No blood on the floor
No monsters at the door
Just me my sheets and my pillow
In my silence
In my sleep
